Dear Editor,
I’m writing in support of Wes Isenhart’s letter in last week’s Mountain-Ear.
We who reside in Gilpin County need to support more than our local police. To my mind, keeping the Recreation Center building open would do a great deal to help our police department by providing a place for our young people to meet, as well as providing us all with a place to exercise – now and even more so when winter discourages us from outdoor activities.
Whether from GoFundMe efforts or from volunteering in whatever ways are useful, we should try to keep this valuable resource open and in use.
Sincerely,
George Blevins
Gilpin County
