COAK CREEK — The Coal Creek Canyon Improvement Association (CCCIA) hosted a community breakfast supporting its scholarship program on Saturday, September 19.
Admission—$5 for kids, $10 for members, and $15 for non-members—directly supports the program, which offers scholarships for Coal Creek students continuing their education.
The breakfast included a waffle bar, egg casseroles, fruit cups, and sausages, with plant-based and gluten-free options available.
CCCIA board members acknowledged this selection as different from their normal breakfasts (which frequently include pancakes) and revealed plans of expanding their breakfast menus going forward.
Residents gathered together in the primary hall to celebrate their community, support students in their educational efforts, and, of course, start the day with a good breakfast.
