Dr. Charles Smith, Peak to Peak. In the past two years the Peak to Peak Players have dedicated themselves to offer our mountain community the best in theatre. With the company’s two successful summer musicals, 2018’s The Wizard of Oz and 2019’s Shrek, plans are being made to select the production for 2020. P2P also mounted Shakespeare’s masterpiece Romeo and Juliet in late May and early June of 2019. Theatrical opportunities for our community youth saw a summer camp production of Alice In Wonderland.
Peak to Peak Players are currently in rehearsals for Willy Wonka, Jr which will open on November 22 and 23, 2019.
The company enjoys a wonderful relationship with Gilpin School.
Peak to Peak Players at the Stables is another opportunity to develop a venue for actor and musical training, concerts, a much needed rehearsal space, as well as musical reviews, a community Christmas, play and poetry readings, and Karaoke.
A Basic Act Technique Class is the first production at the Stables. It has a full class of 12 student actors that will be taking classes for eight weeks. Jess Schmeling is the class instructor. She is a graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City.
Peak to Peak Players at the Stables will be holding a Grand Opening Event on Saturday, October 5, 2019.
Dinner will be held at JKQ BBQ in Central City starting at 5:45 p.m. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 7:00 p.m. followed by a musical performance by Doug Fisichella at 7:30 p.m. Doug was the wonderful donkey in the production of Shrek!!!

On October 12, Dutch and the Redhed will perform at 8:00 p.m. Plan to attend the Gilpin Arts Festival Fundraiser from 5:00- 8:00 p.m. and then stroll next door for a great evening of musical entertainment.
The Peak to Peak Players at the Stables are developing ideas and will generate a full calendar of events that will be announced to our community.
The mission of the Peak to Peak Players theatre company is to entertain, enrich, and inspire the rural mountain communities in the Peak to Peak region of Colorado by producing a wide variety of high-quality theatrical productions.
