Sara Sandstrom-Kobi, Nederland. On May 16, 2020, honking could be heard throughout Nederland in the early afternoon as the Class of 2020 paraded through town. Many of their parents were driving and their cars were decorated with balloons, posters and paint.
The graduates and parents were smiling, and there were probably a few tears, as the town of Nederland came out of their homes and businesses to cheer them on.
This was supposed to be the day of their graduation ceremony. They made the best of the situation that we are in. We celebrate with you, Nederland Class of 2020.
