On 8/1/20, a Nederland officer took a report of a stolen vehicle. They vehicle was later found in Boulder Canyon where it had driven off the road and flipped over. Upon further investigation it was determined the owner submitted a false police report and had wrecked his own vehicle. He was charged with Attempt to Influence a Public Official, Insurance Fraud and Duty to Report an Accident.
On 8/1/20, a disturbance was reported in the area of the 70 block of Hwy 119, Town of Nederland. The party was contacted by the Nederland Police Department. Boulder County and Gilpin County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived to assist. No charges were filed at the time. The party was removed from a business and released.
On 8/1/20, the Nederland Police Department responded to a disturbance at in the 100 Block of E. First Street. There was a party armed with a crossbow, who was disarmed by other patrons. The party was later arrested and transported to the Boulder County Jail.
On 8/5/20, Boulder County Dispatch aired a DUI driver report at Conger and Big Springs Dr. The RP updated dispatch reporting the driver was now at the B&F parking lot, exited the vehicle and walked into a store. The RP provided a vehicle description. The suspect was contacted and ultimately arrested for DUI.
On 8/9/20, the Nederland Police Department assisted BCSO and State Patrol with an injury crash that occurred in the area of Boulder Canyon and Tungsten Rd.
On 8/9/20, The Nederland Police Department conducted a welfare check in the Town of Nederland that resulted in two voluntary walk-ins to a crisis center.
On 8/11/20, Nederland Police took a report of trespass on West 3rd Street. The reporting party called to report she came home to find her screen taken off, window open, and cat missing. At this time there were no signs of entry or anything missing from the apartment. The reporting party suspected juveniles who used to access the window to a friends’ home, or former juveniles who lived with parents who have since moved. Case is open at this time.
On 8/15/20, the Nederland Police Department responded to a hit and run crash in the Town of Nederland. The suspect was identified and issued a summons.
On 8/15/20, a Nederland officer assisted the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office. There was a report of a lost party on Coughlin Meadows Road. The officer located the party who reported he was assaulted by a friend who was driving intoxicated in Gordon Gulch camping area.
On 8/16/20, a theft was reported from the B&F Mountain Market in Nederland. The suspect left the area in a black pickup in an unknown direction. The theft was reported to staff by a customer. It is unknown what the suspect stole other than a pack of Swiss rolls worth $1.99.
On 8/20/20, the Nederland Police Department took a felony theft report in the Town of Nederland. A piece of construction equipment was stolen valued at $5200. The investigation is still open.
On 8/20/20, The Nederland Police Department investigated a disturbance that resulted in a trespass affidavit issued to a male.
On 8/20/20, The Nederland Police Department investigated an unwanted party in the Town of Nederland that resulted in the removal of a male from the property.
On 8/22/20, Nederland Police took a report of an unknown white male, 30-40 years of age, who burglarized three buildings at the Nederland Rink, stealing a total of $1030 worth of supplies. No known suspects at this time. Surveillance photos were obtained from the Rink.
On 8/31/20, the Nederland Police Department invested a property damage accident on West Third and North Jefferson Street. No parties were injured in the crash.
