Barbara Lawlor, Nederland. In the past week, the Nederland High School boys’ basketball team has lost two games, one home and one away, but have scored more points in each game than they have most of the season. The Panthers now have a 1-8 record.
On Tuesday, January 16, 2018, they hosted the Front Range Christian Falcons, sending them home with a 64-25 win. After stumbling behind by 34 points in the first half, the Ned boys rallied to keep the Falcons to a five-point lead in the second half.
NHS junior Damon Vigil was hot, leading the Panthers in scoring, including four three-pointers in the third quarter. Rain Larrabee led with 10 rebounds.

On Thursday, January 18, Nederland played an away game against the Longmont Christian Warriors, losing 32-86. They had a hard time slowing down senior Dominic Pouchino, who scored 31 points and his teammate Michael Voigt was right behind him with 22 points.
