Andrew Cooney will be traveling up from Denver to bring his “slick bass lines and caramel smooth vocals” to Busey Brews, in Nederland, on December 21, 2019. Growing up in Chicago, Illinois, Andrew’s grandparents were jazz musicians, and that is where his musical interest began. He then went on to play with multiple bands, ranging from rock to doo-wop to Motown, during his younger years, before getting a degree in musical management, flying to Denver, and forging an instant connection with Tenth Mountain Division of Colorado, with whom he also performs on bass and vocals. This solo show is sure to pair perfectly with a craft beer and your favorite locals. Don’t miss his classic rock sound and exploratory take on Americana, the date is coming up quick! Every year, the Very Nice Brewing Company invites an exceptionally festive band from Boulder to animate their Holiday Party and cookie exchange. The Brassaholics are an award-winning Boulder-based band playing New Orleans blues, ragtime and everything brass to a very enthusiastic fan base. This band brings to the table trumpets, trombone, horn, tuba and percussion, perfectly blended to cover several genres not always associated with a brass band. On December 22, 2019, this sextet will be livening up the town of Nederland and spreading cheer at 4:30 p.m., so stop by after skiing to grab a craft beer and some sweet tunes to go with your cookies!
