Heidi Prentup, Boulder County.  On Wednesday, September 30, at around noon, the Boulder County Regional Communications Center received a report of a SPOT activation for an SOS approximately 1.5 miles west of Long Lake Road in the Indian Peaks Wilderness.

The hiker, a 69 year old male, collapsed on the trail and died. He was with friends at the time of the call.

The hiker was carried out by Volunteers with Rocky Mountain Rescue Group, Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Boulder County Sheriff’s Office Fire Crew and Indian Peaks Fire Department.

Cause and manner of death will be determined by the Boulder County Coroners office.

On Sunday, October 5th,  around 5:30 p.m., Boulder County Sheriff’s Deputies discovered a deceased male in the area of Ruby Gulch located near the 40100 block of the Peak to Peak Highway.

The man was discovered by a Sheriff’s Office Deputy on patrol in the area. The 37 year old male was found deceased from an apparent suicide. Investigators from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the Boulder County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene to investigate.

The incident is still under investigation by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and Boulder County Coroner’s Office. The Coroner’s Office will make a determination as to the cause and manner of death once their investigation is completed.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the deceased once they have confirmed that the family members have been notified of the death.

On Sunday, October 5th, about 7 p.m., the Boulder County Regional Communications Center received a report of a female party who was possibly deceased in the 100 Block of Wonderland Avenue, located in Coal Creek Canyon, in Boulder County, Colorado.

The female party was discovered by her husband who called 911.  Boulder County Sheriff’s Deputies along with members of the Coal Creek Fire Protection District, AMR Ambulance Service, as well as Investigators from the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Boulder County Coroner’s Office responded.  A female party 38 years of age was found deceased.

At this time, the incident does not appear suspicious; however the incident is still under investigation by the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office and the Boulder County Coroner’s Office. The Coroner’s Office will make a determination of the cause and manner of death once their investigation is completed.

The Boulder County Coroner’s Office will release the name of the deceased once they have confirmed that all family members have been notified of the death.
