Dr. Charles Smith, Peak to Peak. The Peak to Peak Players started with generous patronage from the Mark Ragan family in 2018. This set the plans into motion to develop a community resource for education and performance opportunities for the Peak to Peak area youth and accompanying adults. The Peak to Peak Players was off and running!
The year 2019 started to gather a head of steam and resulted in a banner year for any small theatrical endeavor.
A professional production of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet was staged at the Dairy Arts Center in Boulder. The summer theatre camps featured the musical Alice In Wonderland, and the main stage production of Shrek delighted hundreds of community members. The fall production of Willy Wonka Jr. lit up everyone’s pure imagination.
The major step for the company was the move into the Williams Stables as well as the development of the second floor of the Masonic Temple for the new Peak to Peak Players office space.
The Peak to Peak Players at the Stables program was launched in October with an opening concert featuring Doug Fisichella. Doug portrayed the wonderful Donkey in Shrek.
The space entertained another concert evening Dutch and the RedHed, followed by a Karaoke Night at the Stables, a dance for the Day of the Dead at Halloween, and Peak to Peak Players at the Stables just concluded the First Annual Christmas at the Stables performance.
The first of many to come, Basic Theatre Technique classes had its first 12 students participate in an eight-week course. There were fund raiser concerts to boot, as well.
The Peak to Peak Players at the Stables program are currently developing a wide variety of classes, social events, concerts and other attractions for the upcoming 2020 season.
The company is currently casting Puffs for a May performance at the Stables. On February 14 and 15, 2020, Peak to Peak Players at the Stables will present a special Valentine’s Day production of Love Letters.
Please plan to join us at future events. More importantly, why don’t you consider joining us onstage or offstage. You will be joining a growing family of active Peak to Peak Players volunteers.
