The people who judged the gallery were Susan Blurton - Ned elementary art teacher, and Ann Fremgen (who was Mrs. Redmon’s high school art teacher. Ann Fremgen is retired and creates art constantly. The judges spent just over three hours looking at the work and figureing out what would place and in which order.

Mrs. Redmon did most of the set up. The students picked which art pieces they wanted to submit. And, Mark Mabbett helped make the wooden frames for the paper layered projects that were displayed.

Mrs. Redmon said, “I love this show more than other art compositions because the students are able to freely express themselves. They do not need to fit their work into a theme or anything like that. It’s also wonderful having local sponsors donate cash for awards so it is even more about the students. There is a lot of support for art in our community so I think this is a very special event.”
