On Saturday, April 23, I wanted to go and check out the new Historical Print Shop in Central City. It was beautiful. I got an extra special treat and got to meet Bob Sweeney, of the Weekly Register- Call. Thus far we have never met in person.
Some important takeaway thoughts I had, after sitting in the parlor and chatting:
We are all in this together.
It’s not a competition.
We can run the same type of business with the same attitude Aaron and I always had- friendly.
We can communicate.
We can collaborate.
We are very different publications with very different focuses.
Our readers can support both publications and don’t have to “pick” one.
It was a blessing to finally meet in person. And it was a good reminder to me to continue on my quest for collaboration between all of the publications in the Peak to Peak.
Thank you Bob for your time. For being straightforward and sharing your thoughts. It was truly a pleasure to meet you!
