On 11/28/20, Nederland Police took a report of a 32 year old male missing on 11/28/20. Male was previously suicidal and had a recent argument with his girlfriend. The male was found deceased on 12/1/20 at 2:30 p.m. in a wooded area, inside the Town limits of Nederland. Autopsy results for determination of cause and manner of death are still on the way.
On 12/3/20, a Nederland officer was assigned a referral from Housing and Human Services, reporting an incident of False Imprisonment that occurred in Nederland on Thursday, November 26, 2020. No probable cause was established for criminal charges, and the case was closed.
On 12/5/20, Nederland Police were contacted about a male who had been told prior not to return to a business but had earlier that same day. The party was contacted by the Nederland Police Department and advised not to return to the business, or he could be cited or arrested for trespassing.
On 12/5/20, a 63 year old female was found unresponsive, apparently down for 2-3 days. The female was transported to the hospital. Case open pending further information.
On 12/6/20, Nederland Police received a report of stolen property from the Laundry Room. The incident was investigated and a report was completed.
On 12/10/20, Nederland Police began investigating a reported phone harassment. A report was taken and the case was closed.
On 12/10/20, Nederland Police assisted in a Safe 2 Tell, juvenile placed on hold by BCSO 20-5472.
On 12/10/20, Nederland Police investigated a report of a DK juvenile at Chinook West. Juvenile was not DK he was on some other drug, (reports lack of sleep). He was not high enough for medical or detox. The school refused to allow him to stay. His mother was present and he was released to her.
On 12/16/20, NVFD and NPD were dispatched to a 59 year old female who was unconscious, with difficulty breathing. The medical emergency resulted in the death of the female.
On 12/17/20, Nederland Police received a report of a disturbance between two neighbors. Both parties were contacted, and a report was taken. Mediation was applied for a peaceful outcome.
On 12/17/20, Nederland Police received a report of a runaway juvenile. Nederland Police requested the assistance of other agencies to attempt to locate the juvenile. These attempts were unsuccessful, and the juvenile was entered as a missing person.
On 12/18/20, Nederland Police received a report of stolen equipment from the Nederland Elementary School. A report was taken the next day the tricycles were returned to the school.
On 12/18/20, a Nederland officer assisted the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office for a report of a suicidal female. The female was with her boyfriend and after speaking with both parties, it was determined they weren’t getting along, but the female was not indicating she was suicidal. In the end, the parties were separated for the night and made amends the next day, and the male party transported the female to her camper trailer in Craig.
On 12/20/20, a Nederland officer was contacted by the owner of the Laundry Room located at 20 Lakeview Drive. The owner stated there was a male in the Laundry Room. The male wasn’t using any of the machines and appeared to be drinking a beverage in a can. The owner wanted the male to leave the Laundry Room since he was not using any of the machines. The officer went to the Laundry Room and contacted the male party. He stated he was just in there charging his phone. He stated the RV he is living in has electrical problems, and he can’t charge his phone. The officer asked Boulder County Dispatch to search his name and was told the male party’s driver’s license is canceled/denied associated case number 02-418-280 since February 9, 2003, indefinitely. The male party was willing to leave without issue. He was advised that his driver’s license was canceled/denied and he should not be driving until he has his driver’s license reinstated. The male party said he didn’t have his driver’s license because he lost it. The officer offered the male party to let him come to the Nederland Police Department to charge his phone and stay out of the weather. The male party accepted and went to his RV to leave some knives there. He came to the Nederland Police Department and was issued a Proof of Service.
On 12/28/20, Nederland Police report of a probable deceased male at an address on 2nd Street. Upon arrival, it was determined the male and homeowner was in fact deceased by an apparent suicide. No foul play is suspected at this time. The deceased had a dog that was taken to the Boulder Humane Society by BCAC.
