Barbara Lawlor, Nederland.  Nerves. First game jitters. Feeling the court under their feet in front of the fans.

The Nederland High School Volleyball team played their initial match of the season at home against Union Colony, both a junior varsity game and a varsity game. The Panthers played the Union Colony Timberwolves and lost in three games, 6-25, 11-25 and 15-25.

They may have lost but point by point, game by game, the Ned girls improved and by the third game, they were in it.

Nanna Wood said, “I think we can do better than this. We will do better than this.”

The girls will participate in the Gilpin High School tournament on Friday.
