Excitement filled the air as the young dancers of The Nederland Mountain Movers showcased their talent during the 14th annual spring recital. The recital was held on Saturday, May 13, 2023, and featured 45 participants. The recital was called Welcome To The Jungle and featured jungle themed costumes and a diverse range of dance styles.

Mountain Movers, an after school community dance program, was founded in 2009 by Angela Delsanter, a teacher performer, and choreographer. Angela graduated with a BFA in dance from Ohio University with an emphasis on performance and choreography. She danced with several companies in Boulder before joining Frequent Flyers aerial dance company in 1997 and has enjoyed a long career since.

Angela’s first class was only six preschool dancers and now has grown Mountain Movers to many different age groups and classes. Five classes are taught each week for ages preschool through middle school and includes ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and creative dance classes. Mountain Movers has grown to be a unique and special program for the Nederland community and many students in Angela’s first class are now graduating from high school.
