April is National Poetry Month, offering the opportunity to celebrate the expressiveness and charm of the written word. Poetry, much like music, unites us as few things do.
With National Poetry Month around the corner, The Mountain-Ear hopes to engage with its community by inviting all poets across the Peak to Peak region to submit their best free verse, haiku, sonnet, limerick, ballad or ode.
Choose your best piece,
Whether dark or bright.
Wait until March fourteen
To submit something you write.
It’s your time to shine,
So don’t be a bore
Follow us on Facebook
Or subscribe to learn more.
In April, read The Mountain-Ear,
Regardless of how you feel
For each weekly edition
Chosen works will be revealed.
