Students present art: Many sculptures were part of this year’s art display. Friendly gnomes, trompe-l’oeil food and art based on anime and cartoons were a few among many amazing creations. Many of the artworks presented at the art show were selected to be displayed at the Gilpin County Arts Association’s (GCAA) Summer Art Show to be held in two places, Washington Hall and the Gilpin library. Students were excited to share their work with their friends and families before and after the concert[/caption]

Gilpin musicians rock! The Gilpin County School Band and Choir performed with much enthusiasm from the crowd. The combined middle school and high school band performed great renditions of “Rock A Saurus Rex” and “The Tempest” by Robert W. Smith, while the Choir sang Elton John’s classic “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” and Elvis’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”[/caption]
Skilled performers: Gilpin School’s music performances were upbeat and polished at this year’s end of the year concert. Students were excited for the opportunity to continue performing by competing at the Elitch’s “Music in the Parks” event on May 18.[/caption]
