Barbara Lawlor, Gilpin County. In the last game of the regular season, the Gilpin High School girls lost 27-43 in an away game. They are now 9-10 as they begin post season play.
The GHS Eagles fell to the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles after a close game that was decided in the third quarter. At halftime, the Gilpin girls were down by three points and anything was possible. That gap widened in the third period and then again in the fourth period to end with a 43-27 win for Dayspring.
Cicely Lepro was high scorer with 7 points and five rebounds.
