Gilpin County Unofficial Election Summary Report

Posted

Sara Sandstrom, Boulder County. Voters all over the United States had ballots this year full of issues to decide on. Locally we voted for a Presidential election, Colorado Senator, Representatives, County Commissioners, Mill Levies and Propositions. All issues are important and are part of the power of a democracy. As results come in there are always groans and cheers. Your participation in local, state and federal elections as a citizen of the United States who is over the age of 18 is needed and is powerful. Every time I vote I think of the women before me who had to fight and protest for me to be able to vote. I am grateful and never take voting for granted. Keep your voice heard by voting and talking to elected officials.
