On 11/1/19 at approximately 12:35 p.m., a deputy responded to a campground regarding a guest not paying for use of a campsite. The deputy spoke with all involved parties who later came to an agreement regarding payment for the use of the campsite. No charges were filed.
On 11/1/19 at 1:22 p.m., deputies were made aware of a threat posted on social media regarding a construction crew on Dory Hill Road in the 2600 block. An investigation was initiated.
On 11/1/19, a deputy took a report of an assault that took place inside the Gilpin County Detention Facility. The case is under investigation.
On 11/1/19 at approximately 3:55 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a disturbance in Central City. After completing their investigation, a party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 11/3/19 at approximately midnight, a deputy responded to mile marker three on Highway 119 on the report of a disturbance between two females. A party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 11/3/19 at approximately 1:25 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Lawrence Street. One of the occupants was found to have an active warrant. The occupant was arrested on the warrant and a case report was later completed.
On 11/4/19 at approximately 10:37 a.m., a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Deputy was dispatched to the Central City Parkway, on a report of a hit and run. The sheriff`s deputy conducted an investigation and a report was taken.
On 11/5/19 at approximately 10:15 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a possible protection order violation by the restrained party who stated the protected party was near his property. Deputies assisted the party with leaving which is what he wanted to do. Later deputies were called by the protected party who was reporting a violation of the protection order. Deputies determined there was not probable cause to charge the restrained party with violating the protection order. The following day the restrained party called to report a trespass by the protected party.
There was not probable cause to charge the protected party with a crime. A report was completed for the incidents.
On 11/5/19 at approximately 5:33 p.m., a deputy responded to a residential address located in Black Hawk on the report of a cold burglary. A case report was generated to document this incident.
On 11/6/19 at approximately 4:59 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the Blackjack Pawn Shop located at 5312-C Colorado Hwy 119 unincorporated on a reported Burglar alarm. After further investigation, it was found, someone had unlawfully gained entry into the Pawn Shop. A case report was completed.
On 11/6/19 at approximately 9:19 a.m., a deputy responded to a reported harassment. A case report was completed.
On 11/6/19 at 4 p.m., a deputy working in the Gilpin County Jail was notified that there was a warrant in the county court room. Contact was made with a female in the county court room with a fugitive of justice out of Aurora Police Department. The female was brought into the jail and booked in without any incidents.
On 11/7/19, a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident at approximately mile marker 2 on Highway 119. A Colorado State Patrol trooper was called to investigate the accident and a possible DUI/DUID. The driver was arrested and a report was later completed.
On 11/7/19 at approximately 11:19 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the 600 block of Colorado Hwy 46 on a report of a traffic complaint. After further investigation a male party was issued a summons for careless driving. A case report was completed.
On 11/7/19, a deputy stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Gregory St that was called in as a possible drunk driver. The driver was issued a citation and a case report was later completed.
On 11/8/19 at approximately 12:18 a.m., deputies conducted a welfare check on an occupied vehicle located in the Grand Z parking garage. A male party located inside the vehicle was later arrested for an outstanding felony arrest warrant.
On 11/8/19 at approximately 9:30 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Lawrence St. The driver was issued a summons and a case report was later completed.
On 11/9/19 at approximately 5:10 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Central City Opera House located at 124 Eureka St, Central City, CO, on the report of damaged property. A report was taken for criminal mischief.
On 11/9/19 at approximately 7:38 p.m., deputies responded to a reported disturbance. A case report was later completed.
On 11/10/19 at approximately 3:26 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Grand Z Casino and Hotel regarding a party behaving strangely, talking to himself and talking to rocks. The party was later located and arrested on drug charges. A case report was later completed.
On 11/10/19, deputies responded to the Dostal Alley Casino on the report of a fight in progress involving six to seven people. Two parties were later arrested.
On 11/10/19 at approximately 8:25 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop near the 100 block of Lawrence St. The driver was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
On 11/10/19 at approximately 9:40 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 119. Three occupants of the vehicle were later arrested for various charges including DUID, possession of a controlled substance and multiple outstanding arrest warrants.
On 11/13/19 at approximately 11:15 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a call of found property. The deputy collected a purse and other belongings which were later logged into evidence for safe keeping.
On 11/13/19 at approximately 7:39 p.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in in the 1400 Block of Highway 119. The driver was issued a summons and a case report was later completed.
On 11/15/19, a deputy took a report of a counterfeit $50 bill from the Famous Bonanza Casino.
On 11/15/19, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway. The driver was issued a summons for driving while license under restraint and a passenger was arrested for four outstanding warrants.
On 11/16/19, a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 100 block of Nevada Street. The driver was arrested for DUI, driving while license suspended and an outstanding warrant.
On 11/17/19 at approximately 8:02 a.m., a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Deputy was dispatched on the call of suspicious activity. An investigation was conducted and a report was taken.
On 11/17/19 at approximately 11:56 a.m., a deputy was conducting a business check of the Famous Bonanza Casino. While inside of the casino, a deputy was contacted by a patron who stated her purse/fanny pack was stolen. An investigation was started and a case report was completed.
On 11/17/19 at approximately 6:33 p.m., deputies responded to a residential address to investigate a male party who had allegedly received a gunshot wound. A case report was generated to document the incident.
On 11/19/19 at approximately 9:35 p.m., a deputy responded to a motor vehicle accident with unknown injuries on Highway 119. A Colorado State Patrol trooper later arrived on scene and completed an investigation which resulted in a male party being placed under arrest. A report was generated by the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office to document the deputy`s involvement.
On 11/20/19, a deputy assisted Black Hawk Police Department with criminal mischief to a slot machine. A female party was issued a summons.
On 11/23/19, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on the Central City Parkway. The driver was arrested for driving while ability impaired by alcohol.
On 11/23/19 at approximately 9:51 p.m., a deputy responded to the Grand Z Hotel and Casino on a medical emergency. The party experiencing the emergency was found to have a warrant and was in possession of drugs. The party was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 11/23/19, a deputy observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the Base Camp parking lot after hours. Three parties were issued summons for underage consumption of marijuana.
On 11/24/19, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on south Highway 119. The driver was arrested for a warrant and issued a summons for driving on a revoked license.
On 11/24/19 at approximately 5:31 p.m., a deputy responded to the Gilpin County School on the report of multiple vehicles with their windows broken out. A report was taken.
On 11/25/19, a deputy responded to the 100 block of Nevadaville Rd, on the report of a single vehicle slide-off. The driver of the vehicle was later arrested for DUI.
On 11/25/19, at approximately 9:19 p.m., a deputy was contacted by a male party in the parking lot of the Central City Post Office. The male party had a warrant for his arrest. The male party was arrested and transported to the Gilpin County Jail without incident. A case report was later completed.
On 11/25/19 at 11:05 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the area of Mammoth Gulch Rd and Tolland Rd on a welfare check. The party was later found in another jurisdiction.
On 11/25/19, a deputy contacted a party walking in the roadway in Central City. He was found to have an active warrant for his arrest and was placed into custody.
On 11/26/19 at approximately 12:49 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Gregory St and Church St. The driver was found to have a warrant and had an open container of marijuana in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 11/27/19 at approximately 10:41 a.m., a deputy was dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in the 100 Block of Casey St. The crash occurred when a Central City Public Works Employee was plowing snow in a Central City Vehicle. A case report was later completed.
On 11/27/19 at approximately 6:40 p.m., a deputy was dispatched to the Grand Z casino on the report of a cell phone theft. A report was generated due to the subsequent investigation.
On 11/27/19 at approximately 9:45 p.m., a detention deputy discovered inmate property, which had been transferred from another detention facility, to contain items prohibited to be stored as inmate property. The item was submitted into evidence for safekeeping.
On 11/28/19 at approximately 12:47 a.m., a deputy conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of Lawrence St. The driver was issued a summons for driving while license under restraint and a passenger was arrested for driving while license under restraint.
On 11/28/19, deputies assisted the Colorado Division of Gaming with a party that had run from them.
On 11/30/19 at approximately 8:31 a.m., a Gilpin County Sheriff`s deputy was dispatched on the call of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was red tagged and a report was taken.
