On 11/2/15 at approximately 0047 hours deputies conducted a DUI investigation during a traffic stop in north county and arrested the driver. End of report.
On 11/2/15 at approximately 1245 hours a male party came to the Sheriff`s Office Lobby located at 2960 Dory Hill Rd, Black Hawk, CO 80422 to turn in found money. The money was placed into an evidence locker for safe keeping and a report was completed.
On 11/2/15 at approximately 1410 hours, a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office deputy was contacted by a citizen who reported some unauthorized transactions against their business account.
On 11/3/15 at approximately 1330 hours a male party arrived in the Sheriff`s Office lobby to complete his court ordered fingerprints. He presented a revoked Colorado Instruction Permit and was issued a proof of service without incident.
On 11/3/15 a Deputy responded to a report of a dark barking. The reporting party/victim wanted to pursue charges. A summons was issued to the dog owner.
On 11/3/15 at approximately 1652 hours a male part was arrested at the Gilpin County Detention Center located at 2960 Dory Hill Rd, Black Hawk, CO 80422 on a warrant for failure to appear issued by the Wheat Ridge Police Department. The male party was processed into the Gilpin County Detentions Center without incident.
On 11/4/15 at approximately 0800 hrs, a Male party arrived at the Gilpin County Courts for a Court appearance. The Male Party was found to have a Warrant for Failure to Appear, on a Park County Traffic case. The individual was taken into custody by Gilpin County Deputies, and processed into the Gilpin County Jail on that warrant.
On 11/5/15 a Deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding. The driver was found to be driving on a canceled driver`s license. He was issued a summons.
On 11/5/15 a Deputy received a report of an aggressive driver on Highway 46 near mile marker 4. The incident occurred on November 2nd, 2015. The case is still under investigation.
On 11/6/15 at approximately 1545 hours a male party was arrested at the Gilpin County Detention Center located at 2960 Dory Hill Rd, Black Hawk, CO 80422 on a warrant for contempt of court issued by the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. The male party was processed into the Gilpin County Detentions Center without incident.
On 11/7/15 a Deputy stopped a vehicle for weaving. The driver was found to intoxicated. He was arrested for a DUI, violation of protection order, driving under restraint, and several other charges.
On 11/7/15 a Deputy was dispatched to a found explosive device. The device was retrieved and later disposed of by the Boulder County Sheriff`s Office Bomb Squad.
On 11/8/15 at approximately 0113 hours, a deputy received a report of a possible drunk driver. The deputy stopped the vehicle. It was later learned the driver of the vehicle had a suspended driver`s license. The driver was issued a summons and the passenger was arrested for violation of a protection order.
On 11/9/15 at approximately 1133 hours a female party, arrested by the Black Hawk Police Department, entered the Gilpin County Detention Center with a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in her possession. Reference Black Hawk Police Department Case 15-01123 for further information.
On 11/10/15 at approximately 0910 hours a male party was arrested in the Gilpin County Combined Courts located at 2960 Dory Hill Rd, Black Hawk, CO 80422 on a warrant for failure to comply issued by the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. The male party was processed into the Gilpin County Detentions Center without incident.
On 11/10/15 at approximately 1040 hours a female party was arrested in the Gilpin County Combined Courts located at 2960 Dory Hill Rd, Black Hawk, CO 80422 on a warrant for failure to appear issued by the Arvada Police Department. The female party was processed into the Gilpin County Detentions Center without incident.
On 11/12/15 at approximately 2114 hours deputies conducted a DUI investigation during a traffic stop in south county and arrested the driver.
On 11/13/2015 Deputies conducted a traffic stop. The driver`s driving privileges were found to be under restraint. A warrant for the driver was also found. The driver was arrested on the warrant and a summons was issued for the driving under restraint.
On 11/14/15 at approximately 0158 hours, a deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle. It was later determined that the driver of the vehicle had an active warrant for his arrest. The driver was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on the warrant and issued a penalty assessment for the traffic violation.
On 11/16/15 at approximately 2:36 am, Black Hawk Police arrived at the Gilpin County Jail with a person in-custody. During routine search procedures, a white, crystalline substance was found upon the arrestee`s person which tested positive for methamphetamine. The person was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Introduction of Contraband.
On 11/18/15 a Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. The driver was found to have an active warrant for his arrest and was placed under arrest.
On 11/20/15 at approximately 0138 hours deputies conducted a DUI investigation during a traffic stop in south county and arrested the driver.
On 11/20/15 a Deputy stopped a vehicle for weaving. The driver was found to be driving on a revoked license as a habitual traffic offender and was under the influence of alcohol. The driver was arrested and processed into the jail.
On 11/19/15 at approximately 1718hrs, a Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office deputy was on-line (internet) portraying himself as a 14-year-old female. While sitting idle in a chat room, the deputy received an instant message from a male who was later identified and arrested for sexual based crimes against a child.
