Please Pay Your Unpaid Property Tax by September 10, 2024.
All Unpaid Real Estate Property Taxes for the Tax Year 2023 are now delinquent and notice of such delinquency was mailed to each taxpayer the week of July 1, 2024.
To avoid publication and additional penalties & fees, taxpayers should make payments before September 10, 2024. Mail to PO Box 368, Central City, CO 80427. They can also be paid online at www.gilpincounty.colorado.gov/ elected-officials/treasurer – click on Pay Property Tax Online OR in person at the Historic Central City Courthouse Monday-Thursday 7:30-5:30.
September 3, 2024, is the last day personal checks will be accepted. Online payments will not be accepted after 5 pm, November 4, 2024. After those dates payments will need to be made by Certified Funds or Cash.
Taxes not paid will be published in The Mountain-Ear September 26th, October 3rd and 10th, 2024. The Property Tax Sale List will also be available on our website www.gilpincounty.colorado.gov elected officials – Treasurer.
The Tax Lien Sale will be held as an internet auction November 19, 20, & 21, 2024 at Zeusauction.com. No Tax payments will be accepted after 4pm, November 18th or during the auction.
