Barbara Lawlor, Peak to Peak. A group of Wild Bear Summer Camp kids along with their fishing guide Dustin Mastro showed up at the fishing ponds below the Huckleberry House on Hwy. 72 last week. A stock tank of rainbow trout was being delivered and the campers loved the chance to help transport the squiggly, slimy nine inch fish from the truck to the pond.

This is an annual tradition started by Huckleberry House owner, Violet Aandres decades ago. The kids held onto the fish after submerging them, making sure they were adapting to the pond water. All of the trout gave a flippant little wave with their fins and sought deeper waters.
