Pine Apple, Nederland. The warmth of the sun and the buzz of the town energized us throughout the course of our breakfast at Ned’s this Father’s Day. They must have anticipated the crowd that showed up, since even with a full house of hungry mountainfolk, and even further a line waiting to be tabled, four full plates were 19 minutes from order to table.
We received exactly what we ordered even with two special requests, and were left to enjoy our time together. To open that Philly Omelet and see it packed full of peppers, meat, and cheese made the price a value, though the egg was slightly overcooked. The waffle was crisp on the outside, light on the inside, and delicious. Portioning was ample, with a bit to take home afterwards. Flavor was on point all around.

All in all, the cost was about 50$ plus a fair tip for four full breakfast entrées, juice, and coffee. The restroom was clean, spacious and well stocked. Our tables and chairs and the floor underneath us was clean. Our utensils and plates were also clean. Thanks to the large windows, lighting was on point and the view was quaint. The back kitchen was loud and bustling, with the staff working hard to meet everyone’s needs.
The waitresses were attentive, accurate and friendly throughout the course of this holiday rush. Had it not been so bright outside so early, we would have sat on the side porch to appreciate the orchestra of our summer birds and the splash of color from the butterflies. The exterior trim work and welded porch rails also add a significant layer of character to this diner.

Ned’s, it seems as though this town has surely taken you in, and the reasons why show through. Good luck!
