Backcountry Film Festival hosted by Wild Bear and the Backdoor Theatre: Join Wild Bear at the Backdoor Theatre, located in the Nederland Community Center at 750 Highway 72, for a night of fun & community to benefit our Snow School program, on Thursday, April 4 from 5 until 8 p.m. This program gets children into nature and interacting with scientists to learn more about snow science! April Solo Artist Reception hosted by Kaleidoscope Gallery: Please join us for an artist’s reception on the evening of Friday, April 5 from 5 until 8 p.m. at Kaleidoscope Gallery, 20 Lakeview Dr., Suite 210, Nederland as we kick off the April Solo Art Show with the art of Karina Vogt. Our featured artist for April brings a golden shimmer to the collection for your art experience this month. Artwork will be displayed from Wednesday, April 3 through Tuesday, April 30. Gilpin County Public Library Art Exhibit – Aprel Dionne: Still Life in Watercolor: Aprel Dionne is a self-taught watercolor artist who grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado. From an early age she showed an attentiveness to the natural world, observing wildlife on frequent trips to the mountains with her family. Her art will be on display from Saturday, April 6 through Saturday, May 25 at the Gilpin County Public Library, 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk. The Mountain Meditation Circle is a free and open group that has been meeting every Monday evening at 6 p.m. for the last four years at the Gilpin County Public Library.
