On 5/4/20, a Black Hawk Officer observed a sign in the median of Highway 119 at Richman St that had been knocked down. No other information is known at this time.

On 509/20, a Black Hawk Officer made a traffic detention in the 200 block of Main St. A report was made.

On 5/17/20, Black Hawk Officers located vehicles driving recklessly in the Z Casino Parking Lot, located behind 101 Gregory St. A report was made.

On 5/18/20, a Black Hawk Officer observed a white sedan violating a traffic law and went to pull it over. The car sped away once they saw the police car and Officer Hansen lost sight of the vehicle. The vehicle was found abandoned at the top of Horn Street where it meets Reservoir Road. Officers from multiple agencies attempted to find the parties who were in the vehicle but were unsuccessful. The vehicle was towed as it was blocking the roadway.

On 5/19/20, a Black Hawk Officer responded to the Ameristar Casino on a report of a stolen vehicle.

On 5/22/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to the 100 Block of Clear Creek Street in Black Hawk in reference to damaged property caused by Wildlife.

On 5/23/20, Black Hawk Officers gave assistance to the Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office on an assault in progress. The assailant left the scene, but was later located and arrested by Golden PD.

On 5/27/20, a Black Hawk Officer responded to 5900 Highway 119 on the report of a traffic accident. A traffic accident report was completed.

On 5/27/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to the Lodge Casino, 240 Main St, on the report of a trespassing suspect. A citation was issued.

On 5/28/20, Black Hawk Officer responded to Gregory Street and Main Street on the report of a hit and run traffic accident. The suspect was contacted and issued a summons.

On 5/31/20, a Black Hawk Officer conducted a traffic stop on Highway 119 at approximately mile marker 5.4. The driver was arrested for being in possession of a weapon while previous offender. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the jail would not accept him into the jail. The suspect was released pending previously stated charge as well as several other felonies.
