On March 29, 2016, a deputy contacted an individual walking down the highway. The deputy gave the party a ride to the casinos in Black Hawk. During the courtesy transport, it was determined the individual was a revoked driver. He had a driver`s license on his person, so it was confiscated and a proof of service was issued.
On March 29, 2016 an inmate located in the Gilpin County Jail was found to have a new active warrant issued for his arrest. The inmate was processed on the new case without incident.

On March 29, 2016, at approximately 2308 hours a deputy was dispatched to a report of a Theft in the 300 block of Gregory Street, located in incorporated Gilpin County, Central City, Colorado, 80427. After speaking to the victim involved, and completing an investigation, it was determined that the crime of Theft had taken place. Later a report was completed and a Gilpin County Summons for Theft was issued.
0n March 30, 2016 at approximately 1125 hours a male subject turned himself to the Gilpin County jail who had two active warrants out of Gilpin County Courts.
On March 30, 2016 an inmate located in the Gilpin County Jail was found to have a new active warrant issued for her arrest. The inmate was processed on the new case without incident.
On April 1, 2016 at approximately 1115 hours, a deputy responded to a bank owned home on a report of vandalism. The deputy inspected the property and could not locate any signs vandalism had occurred at the property. A report was completed for the incident.
On April 1, 2016 at approximately 1300 hrs, a male party arrived at the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office to turn himself in on a warrant. Deputies checked to make sure the individual had a warrant, and then took him into custody and processed him into the Gilpin County Jail on the warrant.
On April 2, 2016 at 0921 hours an inmate at Gilpin County Detention Facility was found to have an active warrant out of Wheat Ridge. The party was processed into the jail without incident.
On April, 2016 a deputy contacted a party walking on the shoulder of northbound Hwy 119 in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado 80422. The party was cleared and found to be under restraint. A proof of service was issued and the party was offered a ride but declined.
On April 3, 2016 at approximately 1005 hours a male party arrived in the Sheriff`s Office lobby to visit an inmate. He presented a “Cancel/Deny” Colorado Instruction Permit and was issued a proof of service without incident.
On April 4, 2016 a Deputy contacted suspicious vehicle within inincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado 80422. The driver was later arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
On April 4, 2016, deputies stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. After further investigation, the driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and violation of a protection order.
On April 5, 2016 a Deputy towed a vehicle parked on state highway 119 within unincorporated Gilpin County.
On April 5, 2016, at approximately 2310 hours, a Deputy contacted a
vehicle, at the 1400 block of Missouri Gulch Road, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, 80422 for Suspicious Vehicle. The vehicle`s driver was issued a Summons for Drove Vehicle When License Under Restraint (Revoked).
On April 6, 2016 at approximately 1600, a female party arrived at the jail to turn herself in on a warrant. Deputies verified that the party had a warrant, took the party into custody and processed her into the Gilpin County Jail.
On April 7, 2016, at approximately 2127 hours, a Deputy contacted a vehicle, at mile marker 13.5 State Highway 119, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado, 80422 for a Welfare Check. The vehicle`s driver was issued a Summons for Drove Vehicle When License Under Restraint (Denied).
On April 8, 2016 at approximately 1355 hours, a deputy took a report of a possible trespass and criminal mischief. A case report has been completed on the incidident.
On April 9, 2016, at approximately 0009 hours, deputies responded to
the Stage Stop, located at 60 Main Street, Rollinsville, in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado regarding a disturbance. At this time, parties involved did not want to pursue any charges. A short time later, another disturbance occurred between two of the involved parties of the previous disturbance. One of the parties was later arrested for Assault in the Third Degree.
On April 10, 2016 a deputy was dispatched to a cold burglary at an address in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. Upon arrival it was determined that nothing had been taken but entry was made into the residence. Evidence was taken a report was made.
On April 10, 2016, at approximately 1900 hours, a deputy was dispatched
to a shooting complaint in an unknown area off of Rollins Pass Road, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. While attempting to locate the parties shooting, a deputy located two abandoned vehicles stuck in a snow drift in approximately the 1300 Block of Rollins Pass Road. A short time later the responsible parties were contacted and one party was issued a summons for three traffic violations.
On April 11, 2016, at approximately 0356 hours, a deputy was dispatched to a suspicious person at the Z Stop Gas Station, at 1351 Highway 119, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. Two parties were contacted in a vehicle parked in the parking lot. One of the parties was arrested for a felony warrant. A report was later completed.
On April 11, 2016 a Deputy took a report of criminal mischief that occurred within central city incorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. A report has been filed.
On April 12, 2016 at approximately 2143 hours, a Deputy received a B.O.L.O. (Be On the Look Out) from Gilpin County Dispatch for a report of a stolen motorhome. A Deputy arrived on the scene and after conclusion of investigation it was determined to be a civil issue between two parties and not a stolen vehicle. After clearing the driver of the motorhome, it was determined his driving privileges had been revoked for being a habitual traffic offender. The driver was arrested and taken to the Gilpin County Jail.
On April 12, 2016, a Gilpin Deputy took a call from a citizen regarding tenancy rules. An informational report was filed.
On April 13, 2016, a deputy responded to the report of suspicious vehicle. The male was issued a proof of service.
On April 13, 2016 a Deputy responded to an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend. The Deputy contacted the boyfriend and asked him to have no further contact with the girlfriend.
On April 13, 2016 an inmate located in the Gilpin County Jail was found to have a new active warrant issued for his arrest. The inmate was processed on the new case without incident.
On April 14, 2016, a male party arrived at the Gilpin County Jail to turn himself in on a Gilpin County warrant. After further investigation, the male party also had a warrant for his arrest out of the Adams County Sheriff`s Office. He was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail on the aforementioned charges without incident.
On April 16, 2016 a party who was at the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office to visit an inmate was found to have a suspended drivers license. The party`s Colorado Driver License was confiscated, and he was issued a proof of service.
On April 17, 2016, a deputy responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle was found in the middle of a roadway, which was the only access point to a subdivision. The vehicle was winched off the roadway to allow traffic to pass.
On April 17, 2016 a Deputy was dispatched to the Public Works Department on a threat that was made towards an employee. A report was taken, no further action taken.
On April 19, 2016 a Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was issued a summons and released.
On April 19, 2016, deputies, Timberline Fire, Gilpin Ambulance, Black Hawk Fire responded to a cabin within unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado that was reported to be fully engulfed in fire. Upon arrival the structure was a complete loss. A report has been filed and the case in under investigation.
On April 20, 2016, at approximately 0920 hours, the county judge requested a Drug Recognition Expert to assist the court in evaluating a party appearing before him. A D.R.E. deputy responded, conducted an evaluation, and determined the party was sober and returned him to the courtroom.
On April 20, 2016, at approximately 1015 hours, a deputy took a cold theft report at the Gilpin County Sheriff`s Office. The reporting party stated the incident occurred on Saturday 4/16/16. Case is active, still under investigation.
On April 20, 2016, at approximately 1145 hours, a deputy took a report of a vehicle that was damaged at an unknown time this weekend in Rollinsville.
On April 20, 2016, at approximately 1330 hours, two female parties turned themselves in on active warrants. The parties came with a bondsman. They were booked into jail and bonded out without incident.
On April 20, 2016, a Deputy received information regarding a violation of a protection order. A report has been filed.
On April 20, 2016, at approximately 1000, a male juvenile student physically hit a teacher. Report taken. Student suspended.
On April 22, 2016, a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was issued a proof of service.

On April 23, 2016, a Deputy contacted a vehicle for a traffic violation that occurred within unincorporated Gilpin County. The driver was later arrested for DUI.
On April 23, 2016 a Deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was issued a summons and released.
On April 23, 2016, at approximately 2055 hours a deputy was dispatched to the Coyote Motel regarding some found property, at 5312 Highway 119, located in unincorporated Gilpin County, Colorado. The owner of the property was contacted and a case report was later completed.
On April 25, 2016 a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver was later arrested for Felony DUI.
On April 25, 2016, a deputy stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction. The driver wasn`t able to provide insurance for the vehicle and he also possessed an open marijuana container. He was issued a summons.
On April 22, 2016, a deputy was contacted reference a dog bite that occurred the day before. The reporting party did not wish to pursue charges. The R/P wanted to make sure the dog had its rabies shots. The deputy later contacted the owner of the dog and verified current rabies vaccination.
On April 26, 2016 a female party arrived at the Gilpin County Jail to visit an inmate and was found to have a warrant. She was arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On April 26, 2016 an inmate located in the Gilpin County Jail was found to have a new active warrant issued for her arrest. The inmate was processed on the new case without incident.
On April 27, 2016, a Gilpin deputy responded to the Century Casino`s parking garage on a report of a vehicle break in and items stolen. A report was filed.
