Barbara Lawlor, Gilpin County. After four weeks into the Gilpin County Recreation Center Adult Coed Softball League, the A-CERS are beginning to look indomitable. They are in first place with four more weeks to go.
Last Tuesday, June 19, the A-CERS beat the Gillbillies in the 7 p.m. game by a score of 18-15, giving them 5 wins in the fourth week. They went on to win two more games on Thursday, giving them a 7-1 lead In the A-CERS first game of the season, they lost a close game to the Blue Sox, 16-14 and have won every game since to be at the top of the league, 7-1.
On Thursday, 6/21, the Gillbillies competed with Eldora and won 21-6.
A-CERS versus Blue Sox, 9-8
Next week, Tuesday, June 26, the Gillbillies have a double header and on Thursday, June 28, the A-CERS have a double header.
The A-CERS are playing their usual methodical game, smooth and efficient and coming back from a loss. The Eldora team says they expect to come back, but in the meantime they are having fun playing ball.

3. Gillbillies 3-5
4. Eldora 0-8
