Pet Costume Contest: Have a cashier snap a photo of your pet in costume and get your information. Our team will vote on the best-dressed pet. The winner will be notified by email Friday, November 7. 

Thursday, October 30

Trunk or Treat at Gold Mountain Village: Gold Mountain Village is hosting a Trunk or Treat for Halloween! 4 to 6 p.m. at 440 Powder Run Drive, Central City. Please RSVP your trunk by October 28 by calling 719-662-3725.

Halloween Bingo: Costumes encouraged! There will be an inflatable fun house of Halloween decor to run through, games, prizes, candy, and music. Kaleidoscope Kitchen will be serving up food. There will also be a costume contest with a $150 cash prize and more! 6 to 8 p.m. at Very Nice Gilpin, located at 180 Jankowski Drive, Black Hawk.

Halloween Costume Storytime: Halloween falls on Friday this year, and we are so excited to share in the spookiness with you! Don’t miss the spooky cute story special with storytime team Beri and Jesse. 10:15 a.m. at the Nederland Community Library located at 200 Highway 72, Nederland. 

Halloween Street: Black Hawk’s Gregory Street transforms into a spooktacular scene of monsters, ghouls, and good old-fashioned fun! Meet Dracula, step onto the Skeleton Carriage, join Black Hawk’s own skeleton marching and keep your eyes out for giant spiders, werewolves, and more. Bring the whole family for safe trick or treating, tons of candy, and great photo opportunities. 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Gregory Street, Black Hawk.

Halloween Facepainting by Fairytale Facepainting: $5 for the cheek or forehead, $10 for the full face! 2 to 5 p.m. at the Mountain People's Co Op, located at 30 East 1st Street, Nederland.

Halloween at Base Camp: Local small businesses are invited to set up in our cabins to hand out candy to trick-or-treaters! Bring your candy, costumes, and business cards. 4 to 8 p.m., Base Camp at Golden Gate Canyon, 661 Highway 46, Black Hawk.

TEENS, Inc. Costume Contest: Dress your best for a teens costume contest! 4 to 7 p.m. at the TEENS, Inc. Center located at 151 East Street, Nederland. 

Halloween Costume Crawl: Dress spooky, get treats! 6 to 8 p.m. at Very Nice Brewing, 180 Jankowski Drive, Black Hawk.

Crosscut Costume Contest: Four categories! Adults, children, dogs and employees. Show up before 6 p.m. at Crosscut, located at 4 East First Street, Nederland. Winners receive gift cards to Crosscut.

Mad Masquerade: Featuring Banshee Tree and Phoebe Nix. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes! For ticket details and purchase, follow this link: thecaribouroom.com/calendar. Doors at 7 p.m., show at 8 p.m. At the Caribou Room located at 55 Indian Peaks, Nederland.

Halloween Party at the Merc: Bourbon Brass at Jamestown Mercantile. Tickets $15. 7 p.m., 108 Main Street, Jamestown.

Haunted Mountain Party: Presented by the Nederland General Store. Live music, a burlesque show, and a costume contest. The theme is Eldora Mountain in 1962. Performances by Bear Hat and Something Slight. Tickets include music AND food. $30 advanced, $40 at the door. 5th Annual Halloween Soiree: Live music, costume party and food truck taco takeover! 7 p.m. at Howlin Wind Brewing & Blending located at 51 A Main Street, Rollinsville.
