Summit Painting & Finishes, LLC

Posted

There’s been so much new business lately in Rollinsville that it’s almost a shock to recognize one that’s been around for nearly 25 years, since January of 1998.

Summit Painting and Finishes is the fusion of Mike Nordberg’s love of design and art. Summit’s two-person professional team now offers services that move it past the designation of mere house painters: they provide custom finishes including faux finishes and textures. They also provide drywall repair. They “specialize” in an entire range of services that cover both interior and exterior finishing, dealing with both residential and commercial customers. They also work on restoration projects. Of course, they provide free bids to potential local clients.

“Local” encompasses this area we all know and love – Black Hawk and Central City, Rollinsville, Nederland – while traveling further to Pinecliffe, Sugarloaf, Magnolia, Ward, Gold Hill – and even further, down Boulder Canyon and Coal Creek Canyon.

Not interested in expansion, Summit has no social media presence and advertises only via word of mouth and client referrals. They deliberately keep themselves small – just Nordberg and Jess Dean, “which allows us to better control the quality and customer satisfaction,” Nordberg stresses.

“We keep our team small in order to ensure the best in quality and sustainability while maintaining minimal impact on our clients schedule. This allows us to do our work while our clients can do theirs…We love seeing a project evolve into a beautiful clean space while making our clients’ dreams come true in an affordable and nonstressful way,” he adds.

Summit Painting has been providing their services in Boulder county for over 20 years and in the mountain communities for over 10 years. “From 8000 sq ft to 500 sq ft, there is no project too big or too small for us. When you are ready to take your home or business to the next level, call us for a free quote and color consultation,” Nordberg adds helpfully.

As with other small businesses, he notes, the pandemic placed a damper on the cost of supplies and availability for Summit’s clientele. “It has become more challenging to find these products but we continue to search for the best quality at an affordable price.”

He goes on to say that the company anticipates growing along with local home improvement needs and new business arrivals in our growing mountain community. But he expects Summit to remain a slow-growing company. It’s worked for them and the community for 24 years, and promises to keep working as the future provides new opportunities.
