Keep It Local: New face for a familiar enterprise

NEDERLAND - Indian Peaks Real Estate Services, which has served Nederland for more than 15 years, has transitioned to new ownership.

Founder and premier broker Wendy Williams remembers the company’s origins: “At the time, there were very few options for long-term property management in our area,” Williams said. “I had been working for a large firm in Boulder, but after having my daughter, I wanted to be more present at home. I started Indian Peaks when she was just over a year old.”

She grew Indian Peaks into the largest real estate and property management firm in the town. But after a snowboarding accident last winter, Williams decided she needed to retire – at least partially.

Enter Boulder County native and long-time Ned resident Emily Perry.

Perry joined Indian Peaks about six years ago after working for a while with another brokerage. Perry simply “wanted to be part of something that truly reflected the values of our mountain community and allowed me to stay rooted here while raising my children.”

Bringing her property management skills to Indian Peaks, Perry “brought firsthand knowledge and a strong understanding of what mountain rental owners really need,” Williams stated.

As of April, Perry acquired Indian Peaks, as she says, “ushering in a new era of service for clients across the Peak to Peak region.”

“My heart is in this community,” Perry said. “Helping others experience life in the mountains is deeply meaningful to me. This isn’t just a career, it’s a way of life.”

She and her three daughters explore this spectacular region. Her love for the area shows itself in her approach to her clients, which always includes her own local, lived experience.

Williams remains with Indian Peaks as a Broker Associate focusing on real estate sales in the Nederland area. In “semi-retirement,” she expresses full confidence in Perry’s leadership.

“Emily embodies everything this company stands for: integrity, professionalism, and a deep love for this place. I’m thrilled to pass the torch to someone so capable, and so committed to our community.”

Indian Peaks Real Estate Services remains committed to the community. They add “Whether you're buying, selling, renting, or investing, our priority is always supporting our residents and helping them thrive in this extraordinary place we all love.”

The company serves Boulder County, Gilpin County, and Jefferson County.
