Dear Editor,
Expert Colorado Trainers Clark Buck, with Red Cross since 2015, deployed over 30 times locally and nationally, including 30+ hurricanes & wildfires, even our own Cold Springs Fire (2015). He’s served as an Emergency Response Vehicle driver, instructor, shelter supervisor, sheltering and mass care lead.
Diana Dalager, with Red Cross since 2017, has led sheltering operations locally and nationally, including last year’s Colorado wildfires, and hurricanes Dorian, Michael, Florence, and Harvey. She’s served as an Emergency Response driver, instructor, shelter manager and is currently the Regional Mass Care Lead.
Joan Cernich, with the Red Cross since 2003, oversees Red Cross in Boulder and Broomfield, deploys and teaches locally and nationally. She oversaw local sheltering operations during the Fourmile Canyon Fire (2010), floods (2013), Cold Springs Fire (2016), and Colorado wildfires (2020).
Joycelyn Fankhouser, currently Boulder County’s Emergency Coordinator (2016) and past Flood Recovery Coordinator (2013), focuses on Mass Case, volunteers, donation management and disaster assistance centers. She worked on the Fourmile Canyon Fire (2010), floods (2013), Cold Springs Fire (2016), and Colorado wildfires (2020).
