A lot of the time you see me promoting our publication. But this month I’m gonna share a little information about some other neighboring publications (print or online). We at The Mountain- Ear want to make sure you’re supporting each neighbor and all the businesses you can in the entire region.
These are a few that we support by advertising and/or subscribing. This is part of my own theory of collaboration. If we all collaborate, we are stronger. As a publication, but even more, as a community.
We’ve been advertising with the Allenspark Wind for a couple of years and advertising in the Mountain Messenger for about a year. We have advertised a few times in the Highlander Monthly. And we advertise every time in the Mountain Pages.
We get new subscribers, advertisers and most importantly, from all of them, we get new stories. The stories you want to read about individuals and the Peak to Peak community as a whole. And we get business ideas and share about the lives of the people that live and work all around us.
Check out each of the businesses throughout our editions in November (in print and online). And think about how you can support more of your neighbors.

And, of course, here is my regular spiel about supporting the local newspaper, which hires local people and is run by our local family. We are the only independently owned paper to cover the entire Peak to Peak region, from Allenspark to Central City and Black Hawk. And of course, all the canyons and communities in between. Online subscriptions are currently just $50 per year. That’s less than $1 per week. You can also subscribe for one month at a time.
