Nederland senior class visits NES It is a tradition in Nederland schools that after the senior class rehearses for their graduation ceremony they come to the elementary school with their caps and gowns on. The elementary students line the hallways and cheer for the seniors and get some high fives. It is especially exciting when an elementary student sees their sibling as a graduating senior. There were a few very excited kids this year. The seniors that attended Nederland Elementary get to see their former school and some of their former teachers again. This year the Class of 2023 even reenacted their 5th grade class photo on the playground. This lovely tradition connects Nederland schools and inspires the young kids to keep working toward the goal of graduation. Go Nederland Panthers big and small! PHOTO BY SARA SANDSTROM
