Dear Editor,

The Nederland Community Library Foundation (NCLF) is the fundraising arm of our local library. We’re the ones who collect used books and hold book sales, but we do so much more.

And right now we need people to join us. Some of the thing we do include:

• Book sales, both physical and on-line (www.nedlibfoundation.org)

• Paver sales

• Library volunteer appreciation functions

• Dressing up in goofy costumes for local parades

• Other fundraising projects (winetasting, musical events, etc.)

During the pandemic we were very lucky to have our amazing Library Director, Elektra Greer, and her excellent staff who were able to keep the library open while also keeping everyone safe and healthy.

The NCLF also remained active, but we had to come up with new and creative fundraising activities. One of the things we implemented was our online book store (link above), so if you’re unable to join us, please check out our store. All proceeds benefit the library.

Believe me when I say that we have a great group, and our activities tend to be family-friendly (okay, except for the winetasting) and lots of fun. If you have a few hours a month to join us, we would love to hear from you. You can either send us an email directly at

NedLibFoundation@gmail.com or inquire at the library.

Also, if you have books to donate to the library, rather than taking them directly to the library where there is limited space, please contact us at the above email address.

Thanks!

Kathy Guyton

NCLF Vice President
