Gilpin cleaning Co. is a locally owned house, Airbnb, and commercial cleaning company focused on providing local rural mountain areas year-round that offer reliability, trustworthiness, and dedication to ensure their clients find peace of mind. The business opened its doors on January 1, 2020.
They offer the use of environmental and septic-safe cleaning products for clients' spaces.
Their goal is to make their clients happy by giving them a clean, healthy space to live in and a company to rely upon, with hard work and dedication to deliver on the Peak-to-Peak Highway!
Amber Cusano, the owner, comes from a medical background, working in Emergency medicine, addiction recovery, and Hospice.
"I have dedicated my life to Hospice and the care of our elders,” said Cusano. "It is my calling and where my heart is happiest."
When she moved to the area, she saw a massive need for the elders to have a dedicated company (in our rural mountain areas) that cared for them. Due to the inability of companies closer to the Denver Metro area to drive the roads in inclement weather and long winters, leaving the elders alone in need of care, sprung the opportunity to start the agency.
The company started as a branch of the In-home healthcare agency Cusano opened in 2019 (Gilpin In-home healthcare agency). In 2020, due to the personal audits of medical licenses by the State of Colorado and the IHHCA, she had been on hold waiting for Colorado to resume.
Cusano said she was hopeful in the next year to be able to complete this and offer not only cleaning services but "in-home healthcare, caregiving, nutrition, meal prep, professionally licensed RN's, Physical therapists, holistic specialists, and more!"
With waiting for Colorado to resume this and riding it out, Cusano is hopeful that it will be sooner rather than later.
"Cleaning for our community is a way of bringing happiness and peace into our clients' homes, and being of service is very important to me and my team," said Cusano.
She said, for the future, she's looking forward to having this agency grow and encompass a focus on the Peak-to-Peak Highway region regarding a sense of community centered in the organization. The addition of staff soon, keeping things on track, and operating well will offer this team to show the benefits of Gilpin County for years to come!
With six dedicated and passionate employees, they now have over 50 Airbnb's, commercial properties, and private homes, with multiple new accounts signing weekly.
They are also hiring locals to offer consistent year-round employment with an above-average wage, including insurance.
