Keep It Local: The Flower Collective

Posted

NEDERLAND - Nederland has seen cannabis processing facilities come and go over the years since pot has been legal in Colorado, and The Flower Collective may seem on the surface to be just another one.

However, The Flower Collective tells us that it is “led by a group of people who have been in the industry for over a decade in everything from cultivation to extraction to retail.

“Our broad experience, paired with the collective mentality, allows us to use our combined 200+ year industry experience effectively as a team….We started over a decade ago with a simple goal: to make the best solventless cannabis products possible. No shortcuts, no compromises.”

Based entirely in Colorado, owners Ethan Shaw and Maxwell Pollet explain that their cultivation takes place in De Beque. “This isn’t just where we grow—it’s one of the best places in the U.S. to cultivate cannabis,” they tell The Mountain-Ear.

“De Beque’s high desert climate offers the perfect balance of intense sunlight, low humidity and clean mountain water…. Rather than spreading ourselves thin across multiple states, we’re committed to growing here and making the most of what this land offers.”

Entirely hands-on, Shaw and Pollet note proudly that “Our products at The Flower Collective truly live up to our mantra ‘From our Farm to You.’ As a single-source brand, we own our supply chain from the start of growing and cultivating to final stages of producing and packaging.”

They stress that they and their crew of 47 are dedicated to “creating the best, cleanest possible products,” avoiding isolating cannabinoids or using hydrocarbons for extraction. They put a heavy focus on quality control from cultivation to extraction, so their products are consistent and clean.

Pollet and Shaw tell The Mountain-Ear that “everything we make is true to the plant and never involves isolating cannabinoids or using hydrocarbons for extraction.”

The quality of their product is so consistent that the owners brag: “You might even catch TFC’s members grabbing a few Bubble Joints™ or Bubble Blunts™ at a local retail store testing for quality control—or just enjoying the toke.”

Asked about the company’s growth, we’re told that “We’ve been around for over 10 years, refining what we do, and now we’re scaling with a focus on maintaining quality. We’ve increased production, expanded distribution and brought on new talent….We see The Flower Collective continuing to set the standard for solventless products….We’re also focused on sustainability, research, and refining our genetics to create the best possible experience for our customers.”

Is there a favorite aspect of what they do? Oh, yes: “There’s nothing better than seeing people connect with our products,” we are told. “Whether it’s a seasoned connoisseur appreciating the details or someone new to solventless having that ‘aha’ moment, that’s what keeps us going.”

And going they are. “Rather than spreading ourselves thin across multiple states, we’re committed to growing here and making the most of what this land offers. When federal legalization comes, we’ll be ready.”
