Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Open to all ages! No carved pumpkins, only exterior decoration. Pumpkins must represent a book or movie character. Voting by the staff and public will begin October 29. Winners announced at noon on October 31. This competition is being hosted by the Gilpin County Public Library located at 15131 Highway 119, Black Hawk.
Saturday, October 4 and Sunday, October 5
Pumpkin Patch: Enjoy a pumpkin patch, pumpkin decorating for the kids, prizes, games, a scavenger hunt, and a Trunk or Trick Street. Admission is free. Pets are welcome and costumes are encouraged. It’s fall at its finest. 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days at 300 Gregory Street, Central City.
Saturday, October 11
Central City Opera’s Haunted History Tour: Enjoy cocktails in the notoriously haunted Teller House and seek glimpses of your future with personal Tarot card readings before embarking on a private walking tour of Central City’s most spectral landmarks. Paranormal Investigation: One investigation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. and the other from 9:30 to 11:30 p.m. Call the Gilpin History Museum at 303-582-5283 to make reservations. Central City Creepy Crawl: Sponsored by the Gilpin County Historical Society. Join us for our annual pentalogy of creepy tales from Gilpin County's past. Begins at 6:30 p.m. each night, with a new tour group departing every half hour until 8:30 p.m. Tickets $18.65 in advance or $20 at the door. Spooky Stroll: Play carnival games, dare to take a walk through the haunted barn and trick or treat! We will sell $5 wristbands at the event for carnival games and 90% of the money will be split between the Gilpin County School student represented groups. 5 to 9 p.m. at 250 Norton Drive, Black Hawk.

Haunted Mountain Party: Presented by the Nederland General Store. Live music, a burlesque show and a costume contest. The theme is Eldora Mountain in 1962.
