Good Trouble Lives On protest

Dear Editor,

When I learned that the Thursday, July 17, No Kings protest, celebrates John Lewis' Good Trouble and the fifth anniversary of his death, I knew many of us would be glad to honor John Lewis' life. It is also a commitment to the US Constitution, Black Lives Matter, DEI, Mother and apple pie. I realized we CAN join with the national wide No Kings where the cavalcade of terrible ideas will be secured by a multitude of handmade signs.

Who would or could not agree with Diversity? In perhaps the country with the most diverse population in the world who would want to downgrade, discourage, and demean diversity? Or equity...our founding documents celebrate equity, our greatness is our inclusion.

Please join us AGAIN at the Mountain Forum for Peace sculpture garden with signs and smiles, 10 - 11 a.m., Thursday, July 17, and the tens of thousands who may participate in our nationwide fed-upness with the zero sum game and gamble some are advocating and championing in our DEI USA.
