Killian O’Brien, Gilpin County. The 2020-2021 Gilpin cheer team had a great year, especially with competition. They came in second in a couple of their competitions and came in 8th at state.
The team also had a new addition this year. Gilpin had their first ever young men on the team, Will Hunt and Chris Pence.
It was a great addition and everyone enjoyed seeing the guys at games and competition.
Will said that his favorite part was “doing stunts”. He also said that “It was a good opportunity to work on body training, teamwork, and coordination”.
Hopefully we will see the guys on the team next year as well.
