Forget-Me-Not Skin Care, owned and operated by Pattie Sabel, is a local business that is focused on beauty and health care. Sabel has put her heart and soul into the business, since she opened her doors on May 1, 2018. Sabel closed her old location in the fall of 2021 and reopened on February 10, 2022, in her new location in Wolftongue Square.
For a bit of background, Sabel states, “I always aspired to have my own business, and when I went to school, I wanted to stay in the service industry. I loved holistic healthcare via facials, massages, and making people feel really good. I like listening to people relate their goals and desires. So I trained as an esthetician and nail technician where I learned from educators who had their own salons and spas.”
Sabel adds, “I then went to work for Lavender Fields in Morrison and eventually Essentials Spa in Boulder. I chose my places to work based upon their holistic approach and the serenity that they offered. I bring those values to my own spa.”
Sabel also wants to remind folks that looking our best makes us feel our best! She offers a lovely oasis of selfcare in the mountains.
From these experiences she has used them in her own way to open a successful business in which people can go to feel “serene, pampered and calm.” Sabel provides high quality products that can cater to your needs whether it’s skin, nails, or a facial. She uses her experience to help her in customizing services directly to the needs of the clients.
Sabel says, “I have certifications for things like nano-skin repair, chemical peels, dermabrasion, etc. These can all be worked into a client’s skin care regimen.” She offers the highest quality work along with high quality products which are paraben-free, all natural, cruelty-free, and sulfate free. She states, “I love the end of the service, seeing the transformation and what makes people happy. It makes me happy to see people excited about the service I was able to give them.”
Sabel is an entrepreneur who has grown her business from the ground up, and with the new space she has hopes to expand her opportunities further. For now it is just her but she is working with massage therapists to rent her massage space with the vision of it being a full service day spa. Sabel says, “As time goes by, I hope to take further steps to enhance the experience for the client, including offering massage services.”
As mentioned earlier the business is partially focused on healthcare, for example, feet. Your overall health is affected by the health of your feet. It is so important to have a foot assessment and make sure that feet are getting proper circulation, trimmed and clean nails and cuticles, filed and shaped. The scrub treats dry skin. A pedicure is much, much more than just polishing toenails. The same is true for your facial skin, analysis is important, looking for sun damage, and more.
Stress is also one of our main health threats these days. A trip to Forget- Me-Not provides stress relief, an opportunity to treat yourself and forget the troubles of the day.
Sabel would also like to invite local artisans to come in and display their crafts for sale.
Forget-Me-Not Skincare is located at Wolftongue Square, 1 West 1st Street, Unit C North. The services are open to anyone who is able to get to the Nederland area.
