On 7/2/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to the Isle Casino on the report of a fraudulent ID.
On 7/2/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to a counterfeit bill at the Wild Card Casino located at 120 Main Street.
On 7/2/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to a single vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Dory Hill road. A male party was taken into custody.
On 7/3/20, a Black Hawk Officer took a phone report in reference to a hit and run crash that occurred at the Isle Casino parking garage (401 Main Street). With the help of Isle Surveillance technicians, the officer was able to identify the suspect driver and issued a summons. A report was made.
On 7/3/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to mile marker 8.5 on hwy 119 on the report of a party walking along the highway appearing to be unstable. The party was transported by Gilpin Ambulance to the hospital.
On 7/4/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to Bull Durham, 110 Main Street, in reference to a theft that had already occurred.
On 7/4/20, Black Hawk Officers received a report of a theft at KMM Garage that happened on 06/29/2020.
On 7/4/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to the Ameristar Casino on the report of an intoxicated person. A suspect was identified and a summons was issued.
On 7/4/20, a Black Hawk Officer responded to the Isle Casino hotel on the report of an unattended death in one of the hotel rooms. There was nothing suspicious found at the scene, the case is under investigation.
On 7/4/20, an adult female and four young children were found walking around the EO C (Emergency Operations Center). A welfare check was conducted and the children were subsequently taken into custody by The Department of Social Services.
On 7/8/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to 231 Horn St. on the report of a possible intruder in the home. Officers cleared the home and nothing was found.
On 7/8/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to 126 Main St. on the report of people possibly using controlled substances. The parties involved were issued summons.
On 7/9/20, during a routine area check at the KMM Parking Garage (255 Main St), a stolen vehicle out of Arvada Police Department was recovered. The vehicle was towed for safekeeping and the owners were notified. The case remains open with possible leads.
On 7/9/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the Isle Casino on a possible intoxicated party. The party was identified and transported to the hospital for medical treatment.
On 7/10/20, a Black Hawk Officer responded to 240 Main Street, the Lodge Casino surveillance on a report suspicious activity. The Officer determined it was unfounded.
On 7/11/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to Ameristar Casino on the report of lost property. The lost property was unable to be located.
On 7/11/20, a Black Hawk Officer located an abandoned motorcycle at the intersection of Highway 119 and Main Street. The bike was impounded and a report taken.
On 7/11/20, Black Hawk Officers received a phone report reference lost property.
On 7/11/20, Black Hawk officers responded to the report of a theft in the Isle Casino.
On 7/12/20, Black Hawk Officers were in the area of a hit and crash near the 200 block of Main Street. The suspect vehicle passed one of the officers and she attempted to pull the vehicle over for the hit and run. The vehicle eluded the officer and proceeded south on Highway 119 out of the city. The vehicle went off the roadway and went down the hill and rolled to the other side of the creek. The vehicle had 3 occupants and all sustained serious bodily injury. The investigation is still ongoing.
On 7/21/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched on the report of a stolen vehicle which was stolen from 340 Main Street.
On 7/12/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to a vehicle hit and run crash inside the Lady Luck Parking lot located at 333 Main Street.
On 7/13/20, Black Hawk Officers were called to Hidden Treasure Lot on report of damage to city property. A report was taken and we are unable to determine who the suspects are.
On 7/14/20, a Black Hawk Officer received an agency assist call at the Ameristar Casino (111 Richman St.). Report taken.
On 7/14/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to 401 Main Street on a call of a stolen cell phone. Officers were unable to identify the female suspect.
On 7/15/20, Black Hawk Officers were advised of a patron at the Gilpin Casino, 111 Main Street, who used someone else’s ID to identify themselves. The suspect left property and the police department was notified a significant time after the suspect had already left. A report was taken.
On 7/16/20, Black Hawk Officers took the report of a stolen cell phone at Monarch Casino located at 488 Main Street.
On 7/16/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to 401 Main Street the Isle Casino parking lot on a report of a vehicle that had been broken into. The suspects have not been identified at this time.
On 7/17/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to make contact with a silver SUV driving on Main St on the report of a physical disturbance between a male and female party. The male party was issued a Summons.
On 7/17/20, a Black Hawk Officer contacted a party for camping at the Lady Luck Parking Garage located at 333 Main Street, an arrest was made.
On 7/17/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to the intersection of Highway 119 and Highway 6 to assist Gilpin County Sheriff’s Office.
On 7/18/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Main St. to contact a party who assaulted a Saratoga Casino security officer. That party was placed into protective custody and was transported to the hospital on a M1 hold.
On 7/18/20, Black hawk Officers responded to the report of two people climbing into the trunk of a car on Main St near the Lodge Casino.
On 7/18/20, a Black Hawk Officer responded to the Monarch Casino on the report of a possible drunk driver. The party was arrested.
On 7/18/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to the report of stolen property at the Lady Luck garage located at 333 Main Street.
On 7/18/20, Black Hawk Officers investigated a report at the Isle Casino Parking located at 401 Main Street where there was a report of damaged property.
On 7/19/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to Main St in order to contact a black jeep on the report of an intoxicated driver. The driver was taken into custody, submitted a blood test, issued a summons, and released to a sober party.
On 7/19/20, Black Hawk officers were patrolling Lodge Casino when they were advised of a possible harassment. A suspect was identified. Another person on scene was determined to have an active warrant and was placed in custody before being released to a sober companion.
On 7/19/20, Black Hawk Officers were contacted on the report of a lost purse that had fallen off a car parked in the Gilpin Casino parking lot.
On 7/19/20, Black Hawk Officers took a report of property damage that occurred on 07/17/20 at 150 Chase Street.
On 7/19/20, a Black Hawk Officer responded to the Monarch Casino (488 Main St) for a lost cell phone. Phone was recovered and returned to its owner.
On 7/21/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to the Lodge Casino on the report of a disturbance. A female party was arrested for DV harassment, and transported to the Gilpin County Jail. A report was taken.
On 7/21/20, a Black Hawk Officer was dispatched to the Lodge Casino (240 Main Street) on a report of a stolen credit card. The officer met with the victim who relayed he left his credit card in the ATM machine. Through assistance from surveillance, the suspect was located at the Ameristar Casino (111 Richman Street). The suspect returned the credit card and was issued a Municipal summons for Theft.
On 7/21/20, a Black Hawk Officer responded to the Z Casino parking lot at 101 Gregory St. for a vehicle trespass. Report taken.
On 7/22/20, a Black Hawk Officer responded to The Isle Casino in reference to a motor vehicle theft that had occurred at that location.
On 7/22/20, a Black Hawk Officer was dispatched to a domestic harassment issue at the Isle Casino (401 Main Street). Suspect was located and taken into custody.
On 7/22/20, a Black Hawk Officer Espinosa made contact with a suspicious vehicle in the KMM parking lot. A stolen license plate was removed from the vehicle and booked in to evidence.
On 7/22/20, a Black Hawk Officer was involved in a traffic accident at Church Street and Gregory Street involving a city vehicle. An accident investigation was completed.
On 7/23/20, Black Hawk Officers checked the plate status of a vehicle acting suspiciously. The vehicle was reported stolen. The vehicle was stopped and impounded. A suspect was identified.
On 7/23/20, a Black Hawk Officer responded to the Lady Luck Parking Garage on a report of Theft of Property from a Vehicle. The keys were reportedly left in a center compartment and the vehicle was unsecured. No suspect information at this time.
On 7/22/20, a Black Hawk Officer met with a party at the police station wishing to report a harassment which had occurred at 231 Horn Street. The suspect was later arrested and booked into the Gilpin County Jail.
On 6/24/20, Black Hawk Officers took a report of a subject that stole the tip jar from Dash Café and fled on foot.
On 7/25/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to HWY 119 near Black Hawk St on the report of traffic accident. A ticket was issued.
On 7/25/20, a Black Hawk Officer took a report regarding counterfeit money recovered at the Ameristar Casino.
On 7/26/20, Black hawk Officers responded to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a vandalism of Casino property. A suspect was identified and issued a summons.
On 7/27/20, Black Hawk Officers took a report from an eyewitness to a disturbance that had just occurred at 340 Main Street.
On 7/27/20, a Black Hawk Officer took a theft report at the Isle Casino.
On 7/27/20, Black Hawk Police investigated the report of an unknown suspect attempting to trespass into another party’s vehicle. The suspect was unsuccessful and a report was taken. More investigation will be done at a later time.
On 7/27/20, a Black Hawk Officer took a theft report at the Monarch Casino.
On 7/28/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to the Isle Casino on a report of a party who damaged a computer monitor.
On 7/28/20, a Black Hawk Officer completed a phone report of a party who lost her prescription on 7/20/20, possibly at the Monarch Casino.
On 7/28/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to an individual that had hung himself off the bridge overpass on Miners Mesa Road and Bobtail Road. Officers arrived on scene and the individual appeared deceased. The Coroner responded and completed his investigation. Surveillance video showed that the deceased was alone when he committed suicide. A suicide note was also found.
On 7/27/20, a Black Hawk Officer responded to a domestic disturbance at the Monarch Casino gaming floor. A suspect was booked into the Gilpin County Jail for Robbery and other related charges.
On 7/29/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to a request from Gilpin County for a possible disturbance in a vehicle. The vehicle was located at the Lady Luck Parking Garage and a male party was arrested for DUI.
On 7/30/20, Black Hawk Officers were dispatched to the Saratoga Casino on the report of a theft.
On 7/30/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to 340 Main Street in reference to a hit and run accident.
On 7/30/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to 488 Main Street in reference to a counterfeit dollar bill.
On 7/31/20, Black Hawk Officers were patrolling the Ameristar Parking Garage and located a stolen vehicle with stolen tags. Investigation is ongoing.
On 7/31/20, a Black Hawk Officer was dispatched to a non-injury accident involving two vehicles at the Ameristar Casino parking garage. A summons was served.
On 7/31/20, Black Hawk Officers responded to the Isle Casino (401 Main Street) on the report of a trespassed party on property using an ID that did not belong to her. Prior to police arrival, the suspect left property. A report was taken.
