Ales & Tails: a four-legged success

Posted

GILPIN COUNTY — On Saturday, August 1, Gilpin Very Nice Brewing Company hosted their second annual Ales & Tails event. Over a hundred community members attended, including several dozen dogs. Some of the dogs were there to hang out with their owners. Some were there with adoption agencies in hopes of finding their fur-ever home.

Several games were played throughout the day, including: Agility course, contests for best costume, owner-dog-look-alike, silliest trick, musical mats, and stein holding.

A silent auction full of local goodies raised over $4,000, and as of press time today donations are still rolling in.
