BLACK HAWK – At the recent Black Hawk City Council meeting on November 13, 2024, the agenda included several key action items, one of which involved the approval of a commercial lease at 221 Gregory Street.
This new business, to be called “Black Hawk Vape and Smoke,” will soon occupy Unit C, making an exciting addition to the retail offerings of the city. Casino visitors and residents alike will be glad to know there will soon be a convenient spot in town for their tobacco and vape needs.
The council passed the following resolutions, all of which were unanimously approved:
Resolution 87-2024: Approving the Second Addendum to the Professional Services Agreement with SAFEbuilt, LLC, for residential and commercial planning services related to City-owned properties.
Resolution 88-2024: Approving a commercial lease with Black Hawk Store, Inc., for the property located at 221 Gregory Street, Unit C, Black Hawk, Colorado.
Resolution 89-2024: Approving an agreement with Merrick & Company for engineering services related to the preliminary design of the Bobtail Surge Tank, in an amount not to exceed $87,480.00.
The council meeting concluded with an executive session, where holiday bonuses and negotiations were discussed concerning City-owned land on Gregory Hill, the Gregory Street HARD District, and other city-owned properties.
