Dear Editor,
The old Black Forest property would be an ideal location for a town parking garage.
It backs up to the hillside, so would not impact views. Two or three levels could possibly accommodate 30 to 50 vehicles. Paid parking, with locals within the library district exempt via a parking permit, would go towards the cost of paying down the debt. And, tourists and visitors would walk the whole business district from south to north which would help the local economy. “
Nederland is “in season” all the time now with short weeks in between. As Black Hawk-Central City, and Estes Park realized after filling in all the nooks and crannies they could find, a paid parking garage is inevitable. And, it’s time to get the process started.
