GILPIN COUNTY - We recently moved to a new neighborhood. While out and about we were welcomed by some of our new neighbors.
This mama moose and her young one were clearly in charge of the road and we gave them plenty of space. They peacefully went to each side of the road eating bark from the aspen trees.
Seeing moose is not new to us, but each time I am in awe of their long legs and ability reach high into the trees.
Being stopped by the moose in the road forced us to slow down and pause during the stress of moving. It was a welcome pause.
May we remember the lessons to pause more often, take our time, walk slowly and hold our heads high.
