NEDERLAND - On Friday, July 4, 2025, the downtown area saw its highest concentration of pedestrians as hundreds gathered for the Independence Day parade.
Luckily, as the parade ended before the afternoon really got cooking, those looking for something more could whet their appetites in a multitude of ways at the Nederland Salon House Building’s Open House Party.
The Salon House, at 75 East 2nd Street, is a unique place for such a unique town, where the members of this colorful community can indulge in some much needed self-care, in the form of expert hair styling, healthy skin treatments, and relaxing massages.
As a “beacon of beauty and wellness”—as it is described on the official Salon House website—the wonderfully rustic building is home to a variety of businesses, all of whom, though specifically individual, work together to curate the quintessential salon and spa experience.
From mainstay Hair By Holly, LLC, owned and operated by master cosmetologist Holly Phillips, to fellow self-care artists, including cosmetologist Hair By Tracy, estheticians Alpenglow Esthetics and Attune Skin, and massage therapists with Blissfully Balanced, the Salon House offers everything a person needs to feel perfectly pampered…and especially now, with its newest addition: Uproot Florist.
Nederland’s own floristry artists, Caroline Tully and Jesse Warren, celebrated their new digs at the Salon House by offering up at their housewarming more than just a smorgasbord of colorful flowers, but also of delicious summer barbecue favorites, including chicken skewers and spicy red hots.
The addition of flower arrangements by Uproot Florist makes the Salon House the ideal place for some “me time,” as a specially designed bouquet can be the cherry on the “treat yourself” sundae to top off a truly personalized experience.
The Open House Party, which was also the celebration of Hair By Holly’s seventh anniversary, didn’t just feature elevated food, snacks, and beverages, but also offered up a wide range of awesome giveaways and raffle prizes, including skin and hair care kits.
Thanks to Uproot Florist and to the Salon House’s creative caregiver Hair By Holly, whose openness and positivity helps to make the Salon House such an enriching place to be, the Open House Party truly represented that enrichment and carried forth the independent spirit of Nederland and of the 4th of July holiday.
The Nederland Salon House Building is located at 75 East 2nd Street. To schedule an appointment with Hair By Holly, Uproot Florist, or any of the salon and spa services mentioned above, please visit: https://www.nederlandsalonhouse.com .
