PEAK TO PEAK - With the privilege of living in the Colorado mountains comes a great deal of responsibility. Part of that responsibility is to keep your property safe year-round, especially during wildfire season.
The best way to protect your home against wildfires is to create a defensible space around your home. Luckily, Prins Pruning and Tree Care is at your service.
Prins Pruning and Tree Care has been servicing Gilpin County, Coal Creek, Jefferson County, Central City, Nederland, Black Hawk, Littleton, Lakewood, and the surrounding Metro areas since April 1, 2017.
With two employees, Prins offers fire mitigation and slash removals. Other services include skilled tree trimming and removal, shrub pruning and removal, hazardous and emergency tree removal and services, and technical removals. “We also enjoy fire mitigation and fuel reduction,” Schuyler Prins says.
Prins has been a trained and certified arborist for more than 15 years. Prins discovered his love for arboriculture while conducting fuel reduction in an Americorps program when he was just out of school. This experience helped him grow his professional knowledge and passion.
What sets Prins Pruning and Tree Care apart is the expertise, personalized service, and unwavering commitment to an exceptional customer experience. As a certified arborist, Prins brings the technical knowledge and expertise to handle all types of tree care, from routine pruning to complex removals.
Beyond his qualifications, Prins believes each job is unique, telling The Mountain-Ear “That’s why I tailor every service to meet the specific needs of your property and trees. I take the time to understand your concerns and goals, ensuring that the solution we provide is the right one for you.”
Prins says the company has been steady since inception but is hopeful for more growth. Prins’ goal is to grow 10 times bigger over the next five years. “I would like to hire climbers and other employees to help with my business and build rapport in our community,” he adds.
Prins confesses to loving everything he does, from “the physical aspect, the mental aspect and especially helping people and their trees. Making homes in our community safer through fire mitigation benefits us all, myself included, which is why it is one of my passions.”
Prins is dedicated to providing a customer experience beyond getting the job done. From clear, upfront pricing to always being available for questions, his goal is to make the process seamless and stress-free. “I treat every client’s property as if it were my own, and I strive to build long-lasting relationships based on trust and reliability.”
Creating defensible space reduces the chance of a structure fire spreading to the surrounding forest and other homes—or of a wildfire destroying your home.
