On May 9, Nederland Middle-Senior High School’s (NMSHS) theater instructor Liz Evans took time to recognize and honor the school’s theater students. During the year the students act, direct, and learn about being on a tech crew.

This year four Nederland High School students received excellent ratings at the State Thespian Conference. They were Hazel Kelley, Lola Kelley, Blue Garcia-Paine, and Tyler Goodnow.

The students perform Fall plays and every Spring a musical that is always entertaining for the entire community.

Evans thanked all the volunteers (students, parents, community) who make a program such as this a success. She also gave special thanks to the directors of the Spring musical – Ki Goodman, Lucy Schalz, Susan Blurton, Abigail Sheehan, and Mark Mabbett.

The theater department thrives on the creativity, talent, enthusiasm, and commitment of those involved. Year after year and performance and performance, NMSHS has creativity, talent, enthusiasm, and commitment. It is a joy to experience time and time again.
