Cynthia D. Chambers, Peak to Peak.
Saturday night at The Caribou Room in Nederland, The Sweet Lillies will open for Toubab Krewe for a night of sweet sounds and heavy beats.
The Sweet Lillies perform high-energy Colorado-style Americana and have quickly captured the hearts of music lovers all over the state. They have now been playing together for more than six years and they continue to grow in talent for compelling songwriting and melodic music arrangements. The three women share an unwavering commitment to life on the road and the constant creation of music.
The band is made up of Julie Gussaroff on the upright bass, Becca Bisque on the viola, and Melly Frances on percussion and lead vocals. Their powerful three-part harmonies and exciting approach to instrumentals, gives the band a rare and alluring sound.
The trio can be described best as, “always expanding their reach with a contagious love of music and a get-up-and-dance attitude that spreads lots of love and smiles.”
