Shannon Cook, Gilpin County. On August 10, the Gilpin County Gilbillies took first place in the championship tournament for the Gilpin Parks and Recreation softball season. Third baseman for the Gilbillies, John Cook, said, “It was a fun season, but we need more teams. Too bad the ACRES didn’t play, but they would have lost anyway.”
It would be great to have more players and teams next year. Join our wonderful mountain community softball league next season!
